One of the largest modern composers Hans Werner Henze died

German composer Hans Werner Henze, who is considered one of the largest musical figures of modern musical art, died at 87 years of life, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Schott musical publishing house.

"Hans Werner Henza died on Saturday October 27 in the city of Dresden. Schott published Henz work for five decades. With deep gratitude, we say goodbye to the composer," the statement said.

For his creative activity, Henz composed more than 200 different works, including symphonies, musical productions for ballets and individual works for piano, wind and string instruments.

For his contribution to the art of Henz, he was awarded several awards, in particular, in 1990 he received the Ernst von Senses award - this is one of the most prestigious world music awards that musicians compare with the Nobel Prize.
