In Tyumen, a policeman will stand trial accused of stealing money from the Tyumen intermunicipal department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, receiving a bribe and exceeding his official powers with the use of violence, a URA.Ru correspondent reports.

The Tyumen interdistrict investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Tyumen region has completed the investigation of the criminal case against the deputy head of the Tyumen Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The officer is accused of committing two episodes of official crimes, provided for in part one of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Taking a bribe), part three of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Fraud using official position), paragraph “a” of part three of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Exceeding official powers with use of violence).

As reported in the press service of the regional SUSKR, according to the investigation, in December 2011, the accused, while on the territory of the Tyumensky Ministry of Internal Affairs, by deception, using his official position, stole 120 thousand rubles, which were intended to pay bonuses to department employees.

From October to March 2012, the policeman demanded and received a bribe from the entrepreneur in the form of sets of curtains for the bedroom, living room and kitchen, as well as several curtain rods, roller blinds and the provision of services for sewing and installing this stuff in his apartment.

Also in November 2011, a police officer received a bribe in the amount of 20 thousand rubles from a representative of a construction company for signing contracts for the installation of split systems.

In addition, in March 2012, the accused, while on official territory, hit a person several times.

Currently, the investigation of the criminal case has been completed and sent to the prosecutor to resolve the issue of approving the indictment and further transfer to the court for consideration on the merits.
