“The Velsk City Court of the Arkhangelsk Region on Thursday reduced the sentence of the former head of the Menatep MFO Platon Lebedev to 10 years. As a result, P. Lebedev will be released in July 2013.”
I am not a very superstitious person, but here I am quoting Interfax without the slightest changes, clarifications or comments, so as not to jinx it, God forbid. And on my own behalf I just want to repeat once again what I have already said many times.
This is one of the very few people whom I would like to see at the head of my state.
Moreover, not according to the principle “anyone, if Putin leaves power and then regular and inevitable replacement of this very power will be ensured within a reasonable time.” So even Medvedev, or the chairman of our HOA, will suit me.
And not according to the principle “even though he is not an eagle, of course, he is a fairly civilized person, therefore, if he steals, then in moderation, and will try, if possible, to do without blood.” There is a wide choice here, from Kasyanov to almost Yavlinsky. No, not according to these or any other speculative principles, although I do not completely abandon them.
But if there is anyone I would like to see as the President of Russia, it would be Platon Lebedev. This is a real wolf. A man without fear or reproach. Not some kind of tame domesticated Robin Hood like Roizman. In fact, it is incomprehensible to the mind how such a person from Platon Leonidovich could end up in his circle and with his biography. And it wasn’t prison that made him this way. Prison only revealed and emphasized something. Because he was already real.
He is very sick. I could have prayed for him.
