It was Rustavi resident Gary Shapidze who came up with the idea of turning the plane into a kindergarten - he bought a decommissioned Yak-42 and made sure that the plane was brought from Tbilisi airport.

Game rooms were equipped on board; only the cockpit remained untouched.

It took several months to repair the plane. According to Shapidze, children are terribly interested in pressing the 1.5 thousand airplane control buttons - this perfectly develops fine motor skills.

At first, Shapidze doubted that the idea would be interesting to the residents of Rustavi, but it turned out that parents boldly took their sons and daughters on board the plane.

The popularity of the unusual kindergarten is actively growing - two dozen preschoolers are currently studying there, but the list of applicants is growing day by day.
