"Currently, Vasilyeva is clarified. According to some reports, she could leave the country," the agency’s interlocutor said.

Earlier on Tuesday, November 6, Vladimir Putin resigned from the post of Minister of Defense Anatoly Serdyukov and appointed Sergei Shoigu to the governor of the Moscow Region. The head of state connected the resignation of the minister with the conduct of the investigation in five criminal cases against Oboronservis, whose employees are supposed to cause the state to damage three billion rubles.

Recall that during a search in the apartment of the ex-head of the Department of Property Relations of the Ministry of Defense, a member of the Board of Directors of Oboronservice, Evgenia Vasilyeva, investigators seized jewelry and originals of the works of famous artists, including Repin, Vasnetsov, Aivazovsky. Vasiliev was left at large, since the origin of her wealth has not yet been established.

According to the investigation, the officials of the Russian Ministry of Defense chose the most liquid and prestigious objects, plots and shares, including in Moscow, from the property complex of OboronService. Then, as a rule, huge budgetary funds were invested in this real estate, and after that the property was sold at significantly low prices affiliated with the Oboronservis company to commercial structures. According to the representative of the Investigative Committee, while many real estate objects were bought at the expense of funds stolen from the "Oboronservice" itself.
