
The Government of Latvia on Tuesday, November 6, supported the draft law on the transfer of the country to the euro from January 1, 2014. It is reported by DELFI .
If the parliament approves the law, then the cost of goods and services will be indicated in two currencies from October 2013 to June 2014. At the same time, both the lattice and the euro will be paid only in the first two weeks of 2014.
It will be possible to exchange armor at the euro at the fixed rate within a month at the mail, within half a year in any banks, and and the Bank of Latvia at any time.
For the first time in Latvia, Lat was introduced in 1922. After gaining independence from the Russian Empire and the end of the First World War.
