Communists of the Tula region celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Great October Revolution with processions and rallies

On Wednesday, November 7, to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution, a number of events are being held in the Tula region, organized by the regional and local branches of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.

In Tula, a rally took place in the reconstructed Kommunarov Square. It was opened by Vladimir Sokolov, a member of the bureau of the regional committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. Speakers: First Secretary of the Tula Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Deputy of the State Duma Yuri Afonin; Deputy of the Tula City Duma Alexey Lebedev; leader of the region's Komsomol members, member of the Youth Parliament at the regional Duma and deputy of the Kurkinsky Village Assembly Vladimir Isakov, representative of RotFront Vyacheslav Reguzov. The resolution of the meeting was read by V. Sokolov.

At the end of the rally, some of its participants went to the square named after V.I. Lenin and laid flowers at the monument to V.I. Lenin. There, high-ranking police officers tried to extract explanations from communist leaders about holding a “procession” - marching with flags along the sidewalk along V.I. Avenue. Lenin to V.I. Square Lenin for laying flowers. According to police officials, the “procession” was not coordinated with the city administration. V. Sokolov was kept at the Tsentralny police department for about an hour on this occasion, and then released without drawing up a report.

After the laying, a large group of young activists, led by Yu. Afonin, went to Moscow on several buses to participate in a festive demonstration and rally.

Events dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the Great October Revolution, in the form of processions and rallies, are also taking place in a number of other cities and towns of the Tula region.
