On November 16, he has been performed for three years since the day of death in the Sailor Sailure of the Hermitage Capital lawyer Sergei Magnitsky. The New Times found three people whose fate was affected by this death

You were accused of the death of Magnitsky. Why?
I was accused of not diagnosing diseases - chronically active hepatitis and diabetes in Magnitsky. But if you read the performance of Magnitsky’s mother, then she says that he never had them. And I did not have the right to treat him - I had no right to education. I was a laboratory assistant.
But there was no therapist in Butyrka?
There was no one at all. There were a dentist and I.
And how did you end up in Butyrka?
After my son fell ill with bronchial asthma, I left medicine. And when, after a large break, she began to settle down, no one was needed. None of the serious clinics took to work.
And chose a job in prison?
I was looking for vacancies. I was offered to the Institute of Transplantology by the deputy according to epidemiological processes. I was offered a salary of 17 thousand, and in Butyrka - 24 thousand. Here is the whole motive. When I came there, I cried for two days.
Why?
I saw terrible conditions of detention, terrible work. And most importantly: a doctor or a physician - they actually equal prisoners. That is, Kratov (deputy chief of the pre -trial detention center for medical work. - The New Times) was commanded by the sergeant of the operative service. He put in the therapy of his, which I had to compose a diagnosis. But on the other hand, there were diabetics - 56 people who had to do insulin four times a day. Otherwise, they would have died. When the last doctor left Butyrka, there were two alternatives: to disband therapy or transfer 56 people to sailor silence. But how to translate? When we hardly transported one with a heart attack per day. If I transferred these people into cameras, they would have died at the same second: after all, syringes are not allowed into the cameras. When the last doctor left, you know what pressure was on me both from the side of the convicts, and from the part of the authorities, and from the team! And in fact, I conducted therapy for three months.
"
Magnitsky said in a hopeless voice: "In court, all the case file was replaced." I: "Sergey, fight!" He had stress
" How did you have Magnitsky on the hospital?
On October 7 (2009), Kratov laid him, and I came on October 8 in the morning, and he says to me: “Laris! There, you know, a decent person in such a terrible cell. There he floods the prison, there it’s just terrible. He is some kind of lawyer, or a lawyer. ” I say: "And what, in fact, is sick?" - "Listen: he has a extract in his hands - cholelithiasis, obesity and osteochondrosis."
How did you treat him?
I treated the diagnoses ... I'm afraid to say, because all the media and his mother will fall upon me. The fact is that Sergey Leonidovich pulled until November 12, because he believed that he would be released (the investigation was completed, and the Tver court considered the issue of the extent of the suppression, but Judge Stashin left Magnitsky for another 11 days. - The New Times) ... Chronic cholecystitis - this is a maximum of three weeks. And I kept him in therapy for 45 days. He was a decent person, I did not know what article he was sitting on. He says to me: "Larisa Anatolyevna, the 12th I will go out." I say: “Good. I write you out on November 11th. " He says: "Thank you." On Friday, he goes to court. On Monday, I come to work, and my sister reports to me: “Listen, Laris, such and such a camera knocks. Magnitsky vomited. " I feel his stomach, and he gets up and says: "In court, all the materials were replaced." In such a hopeless voice. I: "Sergey, fight!" He had stress. And then I went to the head of the Opera of Gorchakov: “He will die now. He has a sharp stomach. " Although there was no sharp abdomen there, there was nothing but stress. But I decided that it would be better if they had made a second ultrasound. And I persuaded Magnitsky. I understood that in six days he would not have an operation in the sailor. And there, after all, they operate with primitive methods: that is, they cut from the sternum and actually to the groin, such a double incision to cut the stones. And he did not want to do such an operation. And I persuaded him that the tests would be taken there, and he agreed to go. And in general, prisoners do not want to go to the sailor.
I terribly sympathize with his mother ... I am a mother, I have a son - he received free studies at the University of the United States. He gave a resume, and they told him: "Congratulations to you." I didn’t pay a penny, I have not a dime. You can check all my accounts.
But you are in the Magnitsky List: you may not be allowed in the United States.
I generally object. And the son is worried. And I am ready - I will stand in front of Christ and say: I am not guilty, please, judge me. I want to explain everything to Magnitsky’s mother. She asks live: "Who was in the last days with my son?" I was. And I want to explain. With all my shortcomings, with all my sins, I will tell her everything. I will say everything ...

Vitaly Kornilov, psychiatrist: "I was called to a psycho, but came to the corpse"
- For me, this story is still terrible stress. For the first time in my practice - such a case - our ambulance team was not missed for so long to the patient (the brigade came to the sailor silence at 19.30, and only at 21.00 was allowed into the camera). For the first time in my practice: I went to a psychiatric patient, and came to the corpse. The prison doctors did not fulfill what they had to do: they had to at least put him in the general camera before the arrival of psychiatrists and keep it under supervision. And they left him alone.
From the testimony of Kornilov in the court on October 16, 2012: “To begin with, it was necessary that the patient did not die, that is, it was necessary to conduct diagnostics. This is pancreatic, it had to be put on a dropper and drip it ... Well, psychosis, psychosis can be treated at the same time / ... / I did everything I could, I stated signs of biological death. At the full -time bet, the surgeon of Alexander Gaus (Surgeon of the SIZO "Sailor Silence". - The New Times), of course, told a lie. She wanted to convince the investigator that she had found a pulsation on the carotid artery and supposedly after that they lifted him upstairs, in the medical part ... they reanimated, but it didn’t work out, he still died ... "
Sergey Kalinin, former prisoner: "I am alive because Magnitsky died"
I was arrested by a disabled person, and then my condition only worsened and worsened. And for the past two years they have been forced to keep me in the prison hospital Sailor silence. I lay and lay there. They always wanted to write me back in the camera. They do this with everyone. If a person does not recover for a long time, they face problems.
Here is a cancer patient, they cannot cure him and they can’t call him recovering, because he dies before his eyes. They stop giving him anesthetic. Well, to quickly part with life, because when cancer of the 4th stage, terrible pains, and if you do not give anesthetic, it will just die from pain.
These are the cries that I heard there, with a period of a month. There is a list of diseases, that's it. But if an investigator or prosecutor’s office believes that he should not be released, then he has the only way out - to die.
My investigator ... demanded confession from me. To the death of Magnitsky. And at the same time he said that “if you seem to admit, then, most likely, we will now agree with the head of the hospital, you will be here in the hospital, and everything will be fine with you. And if not, then you will go to the Butyrka, and there, you yourself know, there they are indulged on a stretcher, they will drop a couple of times. There are no elevators, there are no catals. ” How can an investigator knock out testimonies from a sick person? Do not provide him with medical care. / .../ besides this, money was constantly pulled from us. Even in my situation, the doctor told me: “If you paid me, I would write any certificate to you.”
About Kratov, the head of the medical unit in Butyrka. You know, he was called “Doctor Death” there. He performed a clearly task - to deliver to court in any condition. It was worth saying: “I was sick” or something else, he called the brigade and ordered the power to be taken: “Nothing, he would die. Take it. " It was proud of his power / ... / his position was unequivocal - everyone lies about his diseases, all are actually healthy, not to give anyone to anyone, to do nothing to anyone.
Kratov said: “If you are talking about torture, let them hang them by the legs and poke them, and in this case, well, what torture? They don’t force you to work, they don’t even force you to walk - they wear it on a stretcher. Where is torture? " Well, after that, I even calmed down a little: “Well, they don’t really try to be an electric shocker ... Well, they just don’t give an analgesic in time. Well, is this torture? " /.../
In the hospital cell, with me was a man. Do you imagine if a person has a direct intestine is bred here here, in the middle of the abdomen? It happens. And he goes to the toilet, well, as they say, to the sink. That is, in fact, he has an open wound. He needs special care. Well, at least some clean sheets ... I'm not talking about special food. And naturally, in a certain period he still needs to do washing. That is, he needs medical care. Of course, he could not be arrested in this state by and large, but they were arrested. And so he just asks, demands, well, to provide him with medical care. Give clean sheets / ... / and how does Dr. Kratov react to this statement? He approaches the camera and says: “Shut up. No one will give you anything. Ask relatives, and it’s not a fact that we will take. ” And he leaves ... The man began to be indignant, began to knock on the door. Kratov calls an outfit. They come, open the camera, say: "Get ready, now you will go to the psychiatric hospital." To him. He has an open wound, he at all ... He barely moves, he is bad. The guard was, well, more or less humane. He says: “But he has an open wound. What kind of psychiatric hospital? I will not lead him anywhere. I won’t even get it out of the camera. ” Kratov says: "Then he went out of here." He leaves. And Kratov causes a change of rapid response on duty - the same as Magnitsky was called. This is a completely different service. They do not ask questions, act /... /
And after the death of Magnitsky, the 3rd Resolution was adopted. About the release of seriously ill-ill from custody. And I am alive, as you see. Alive because Sergey Magnitsky died.
Larisa Litvinova is a laboratory assistant of Butyrskaya prison, where Sergey Magnitsky spent four months. She was accused in the case of “causing death by negligence”: the charge was removed due to the expiration of the statute of limitations. Now the witness at the process of the deputy chief of Butyrki for the medical part of Dmitry Kratov (see The New Times No. 35–36).
