A criminal case was opened in the Kizzhinsky district of Buryatia against two students of a local technical school, who during the hunt in the reserve killed a randomly met poacher. The criminals calmly finished off the wounded to hide their own poaching fishing.
The corpse of a 60-year-old man was found on Wednesday on the territory of the reserve, Interfax reports with reference to the press service of the Republican Investigation Department. The body was discovered by the relatives of the murdered hunter after the dog came running into the village, with whom the man went into the forest.
During the investigation, it turned out that two students of the technical school were involved in the crime, who lived in the village of Novokizhinginsk and, by irony of fate, poaching in the neighborhood with the dead.
Having decided to hunt, young people took from a familiar gun, although they did not have permits for their wearing. Then they headed for a nearby village of Zakzznik, where the shooting of animals was prohibited. There, poachers began to drive the game.
“During the hunt, one of them heard the noise aside, (and) thought that wild goats were hiding there,” the press release says.
Without understanding the situation, the upper hunters shot at the bushes, in which, as it turned out, the victim was. The pensioner "illegally installed loops for catching animals," investigators noted.
According to operatives, students decided to hide their crimes. To do this, one of the young men approached an elderly and wounded man from the back, and then shot him in the back of his head. The victim died on the spot.
Students dragged the corpse to the side and threw branches. Then they abducted a gun, a backpack and disappeared.
Currently, in relation to one of the suspects, the issue of detention is being decided. “The actions of his accomplice, who helped to hide the traces of the crime, will be given a proper legal assessment,” the investigation department assured.
A criminal case was instituted under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder).
