Sanctuary on Mount Hurchor

In Shinzikau, exactly as in any other village, there is a cemetery. Even three. Two old and one new. I must say that I really like to roam the old cemeteries, they can be read like books. The story of the whole village passes in front of you. Yes, and simply, there is quiet, and very calm. The old cemetery in Shinzikau is also overgrown with rose hips. I did not find many stones that I know from the photographs, apparently they are in another cemetery, and those that stood before caused only sadness.







We met later burials. I still do not know what time these stars relate to, I suspect that these are post -war or military burials. The same stars can be seen in the course. Most often they are single, that is, just a star, but there are such. Unfortunately, I have not come across a whole tablet in any cemetery, everyone rusted so much that it is impossible to read them.

But neither the house of Enziyev, nor the cemetery were the goal of our trip. Although it can easily be designated as a meeting with Osziev, for which we arrived. But this meeting would not be complete if we had not found that the sanctuary that he did. The road there leads between the villages of Urson and Kora, more precisely there is no road there, there is a barely noticeable path along which you can go upstairs.
A huge boulder on Mount Hurchor, which means the "devouring sun" has long been considered sacred with all the surrounding villages. In general, women cannot go there, but I was allowed to take a look and even take a picture. Enzieev began work on this bas-relief in the mid-40s, during the war, when there was a German occupation around. According to the stories of the master himself, he could not come up with a composition for a long time, and once in a dream Wastrji appeared. From this vision, work went quickly.

To be honest, I do not know how it refers to the fact that the bas -relief with oil paint for fences is painted. Having talked with the locals, I realized how expensive this sanctuary is for them, they take care of him, they are cherished. And it's great. In the end, I calmed down that the master made this bas -relief primarily for them and initially it was painted. So people continue to paint him as they can.
