ORT, Mir, Russia Today, BBC, RIA Novosti, Interfax... either have already provided materials or are planning to. Strange rumors began to circulate: “Have you heard what the priests are doing? They read sermons in the pulpit in rap style.”
In fact, there is simply such a talented guy in Tula - Anton Panchenko, a churchgoer, a student at the Tula Theological Seminary (correspondence student), who long before coming to the Church began writing rap lyrics. And over the years they acquired a deeply Christian meaning. Anton became a laureate and diploma winner of various song festivals. This, in fact, is what “Orthodox rap” is. Rap of a person who conveys his Christian worldview in his work. Naturally, not on the grounds of temples, but in concert audiences.
Anton’s first appearance “on TV” happened 3 years ago, when I tried to make a video podcast OtstavnyhTV on my LiveJournal. Everything was done on our knees. Over time, I abandoned this idea... But the release of a program called “Television in a Notebook” with Anton remained.
