Yesterday, November 17, a rally was held in Moscow in defense from the destruction of the garden P.I. Travnikova.

Local residents are worried about the construction of elite apartments on the site of the Krymsky restaurant, located near the zone planned for development.

The garden named after Pavel Ivanovich Travnikov is located in the courtyard of the house 8 along the Frunzenskaya embankment, literally a stone's throw from the Park of Culture metro station. This garden is unique and stores on its territory 13 species of plants from the Red Book and other rare species of plants, also being a monument of historical landscape architecture and nature, artificially created by human hands.

About six months ago, it became known about the planned construction of the Apart-Hotel elite complex Komsomolsky de Luxe in the place of the restaurant nearby to the garden. The construction company plans to conduct a subsidiary of Don-Stroy Invest CJSC-Tamberof LLC. Formally, the Building Garden does not hurt, but goes along its border, and engineering communications should come to the new house through the garden.

The “Yabloko” party with its branded posters and with its branded Mitrokhin, who exceeded the agreed limit of the time that gave the speaker’s performance, and then also quarreled with one of the organizers of the rally on this subject, also participated in the rally.

Closer to the end of the rally, literally for a few seconds, a representative of the Khamennikov council by the name of Marchenko entered the stage, who said that he was at a rally "to control this event from the point of view of checking the mass conduct" and therefore, he cannot comment on the issues that are being asked. "I have no authority for this." He said and left the stage under the indignant exclamations of the townspeople.

A resolution was also signed against the construction of the Apart-Hotel, which will be sent to the city hall, the government and the presidential administration.

At the rally, hot tea, vegetarian cuisine, a collection of recyclables and Wi-Fi were organized.

The rally gathered about 150 people and ended with a “live microphone”, warming up and performing a wonderful Tender in May group.
