A conditionally released member of the punk band Pussy Riot, Ekaterina Samutsevich, may send a request to the bar association with a demand to debar the group’s former defenders Mark Feigin, Nikolai Polozov and Violetta Volkova, Kommersant reports , citing Samutsevich’s official letter sent to the lawyers.

According to the publication, Samutsevich refused the services of lawyers at the end of September, but Volkova still has not returned her passport, keys to the apartment and the response received by the lawyers to their complaint to the ECHR.

“Our request was not fulfilled - and we can complain to the city bar association. But this is an extreme measure that I would not like to take,” Samutsevich’s lawyer Sergei Badamshin told the publication.

Samutsevich's letter was sent to lawyers on November 11. In it, she asks that her things be returned to her by November 19th.

Samutsevich confirmed to reporters today that she still does not have a passport, house keys or a response from the ECHR. “I wrote a statement to the police about the loss of my passport so that this document would be “blocked,” Interfax quotes her .

In her opinion, the passport is in the possession of her former lawyer Violetta Volkova, but she does not contact her.

Samutsevich said that for now she decided not to take serious action and contact the police about this. As for contacting the Bar Association, she is also still considering this option.

“I’m still waiting for some kind of response from Volkova, I hope we can work this out,” she said.

Let us recall that the day before it became known that two other members of the punk group Pussy Riot, Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alekhina, who had previously been sentenced to two years in prison for an anti-Putin punk prayer service in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, asked their lawyers , Feigin and Polozov. Their interests in the Presidium of the Moscow City Court and in the European Court of Human Rights, where the girls’ complaints will be considered, will now be represented by the lawyer of the human rights organization “Agora” Irina Khrunova, who previously managed to get Samutsevich’s sentence commuted.

As Feigin and Polozov themselves stated, the change in Pussy Riot’s defense took place by agreement with the defendants. However, Kommersant's sources indicate that Tolokonnikova and Alyokhina have been extremely dissatisfied with the work of their lawyers in recent weeks and a week ago wrote statements refusing their services. In turn, Feigin wrote on his Twitter today that Samutsevich was deliberately “launched to deprive us of the status of lawyers.” At the same time, he promised, together with Polozov and Volkova, to write a book about the Pussy Riot case, in which the “cunning Samutsevich” will take its rightful place. He also said that he “didn’t even see the keys or passport”, and the response from the ECHR is in the ECHR.
