A couple of weeks ago I had a chance to visit the prison in the capital of the Mordovian Territory - Saransk. On the eve of the media, information was held that this city became the winner of the contest "The most well -built city of Russia - 2012." But our native Ulyanovsk suddenly ended up in 2nd place, in a couple with Tomsk. But if I compare Ulyanovsk with Tomsk yet, then with Saransk - easily!

The criteria for which cities are evaluated:

• implementation of state and municipal programs of socio-economic development of cities;
• execution of housing and communal construction volumes;
• execution of capital and current repair of residential buildings;
• landscaping of the housing stock (connection to water supply and sewage systems, gasification and other types of improvement);
• installation in residential and public buildings of individual consumption devices of water -energy resources;
• construction and overhaul of city roads and sidewalks, as well as rain sewage systems;
• the state of transport services for the population and road safety;
• the content of city engineering structures in a technically serviceable state;
• the level of security of the population with green plantations and the quality of landscaping of the urban territory;
• replacement of dilapidated engineering communications;
• bringing the facades of buildings to proper condition;
• preservation of historical, cultural and natural heritage;
• reduction in the volume of incomplete construction in the housing and social spheres;
• architectural and composite completeness and artistic expressiveness of urban development;
• provision of owners of individual machines with comfortable parking lots and garages;
• proper sanitary content of cities;
• ensuring environmental safety of population living;

The post, rather, is written for the inhabitants of Ulyanovsk, so I will not show photos of my hometown for comparison and describe the situation - everyone already sees and understand.

Therefore, I propose to simply enjoy the photos of Saransk.

Saransk is almost the same age as Ulyanovsk-Simbirsk, it was founded in 1641. However, first of all, it was struck by the fact that he looked as if they had founded it 50 years ago. For the entire tour of the city, I did not meet any historical buildings-everywhere a new building, including temples. In the 19th century, there were three large fires in the city, perhaps everything was burned out in them. In any case, here Ulyanovsk wins by the criterion "preserving the historical, cultural and natural heritage." One of our reserve Lenin is worth it. But still this is not salt - you won’t live in the reserve.

Do you know what I did not see here? Traffic jams. And it was Friday. I was here from morning to evening, and I have not seen traffic jams.

Yes, it is clear that the center in Ulyanovsk is historical and is not subject to redevelopment - that is, that is. And so we smoothly move on to the topic of roads and the criterion "Construction and overhaul of city roads and sidewalks, as well as rain sewage systems."

And now there are no remains in many places at all - one hope that drivers look a little at the signs.

Now about housing and social infrastructure: the implementation of the volume of housing and communal construction; the implementation of the capital and current repair of residential buildings.

Here, I think, there is even nothing to compare. How many are being built in Saransk, it seems that they are not building anywhere else :) Well, maybe in Chechnya yet.

Typically, cities of oil workers and gas workers in deaf tundra make such a roof from dullness from dullness. And we are not in the tundra, but there are more than enough dullness ...

And numerous sports facilities. To say that there are many of them is to say nothing. Yes, in 2018, Saransk will host the World Cup, he was cool. They are building the Kygen stadium:

But even before that, there were many sports facilities in Saransk. A very sports city. The birthplace of many Olympic champions, and there are proud of it.





And these are not small boxes, where there is a place of one or two sections. These are whole Olympic villages and giant athletics complexes. What is there! You go nuts - in Saransk there is a huge complex for BMX! Envy, Ulyanovsk cycling faces. The unique, in my opinion, is the only one in Europe. Well, nothing, we have Lenin Square in the summer. Enough. There they put slides for BMX-nicks-and thanks for that. An important topic for a modern city overflowing with cars: "Provision of owners of individual machines with comfortable parking lots and garages."

Is it easy in Ulyanovsk to find a parking lot in the center? :) Already repeatedly wrote about this that the entire center is stupidly Utykan with signs "Stop prohibited" - the city authorities, instead of solving the problem of parking lots, decided to shift it to drivers and imposed huge fines of those who were parked from hopelessness not according to the rules. And what, a good tributary to the budget - closed the center to stop and roll during the day by car with special equipment. They will park anyway-where to go?

And in Saransk is not so. Everything is human and for people there.

By the criterion, “The level of security of the population with green plantations and the quality of landscaping of the urban territory” I will not compare, because autumn and trees are not visible. But everything seems to be ok and in Saransk and with us. Bye. If comrades city leaders do not contribute to point buildings in parks and green areas, then perhaps Ulyanovsk will retain the status of a green town ...

I would not say that the city is folded and harmonious in terms of architecture. But here it is really convenient to live.





Only the great Russian river is missing :) I can’t imagine a city landscape without it. In this regard, we were very lucky with the location.

Like this. Of course, one cursory gaze is not enough to judge the city and the quality of life in it. Plus, more emotions from the first impressions. Therefore, in my words there may be little truth, but, as the Georgian hero of one Soviet film said: "I think so!"

Saransk is a poor city of the poor agrarian region. Like Ulyanovsk. But a huge amount of federal money is packed into Saransk. Why? A convenient geographical and economic situation, a lot of educational institutions of various profiles, and as a result - a lot of inexpensive qualified labor. Many people who want to work. There is also a national trait - hard work and zeal. Therefore, corporations open their offices here, ensuring the employment of the population. Yes, the salaries are low, yes, you will not meet expensive cars on the streets. But people live in a well -maintained city. They just live, work, play sports, accept the World Cup in 2018 and vote for Putin. All 146% :)
