On November 23, at the 64th year of his life, Alexander Viktorovich Sarychev, chief researcher at the Institute of Economics of Transport and Transport Policy of the Higher School of Economics, director of non-profit partnership of the Research Institute of Transport and Road Facilities, suddenly died.
A.V. Sarychev was a graduate of the Moscow Road Institute (MADI) with a degree in Economics and Organization of Road Transport (1971), candidate of technical sciences with a degree in Roads and Road Transport (1982). He considered D.P. Velikanov, M.S. Fishelson, V.I. Ivanov, D.S. Samoilova.
From 1971 to 1990 A.V. Sarychev worked at the Research Institute of Road Transport of the Minavtotrans of the RSFSR (NIIAT), where he went from an engineer to the head of one of the leading units - the department of organization and management of passenger transportation.
Since 1991, he was a co-founder and director of an independent transport laboratory (Translab), transformed in 2003 into non-profit partnership of the “Research Institute of Transport and Road Facilities” (NITDH). He was the author (co -author, scientific editor) of numerous scientific publications and methodological developments on the problems of transport policy, city transport planning, transportation, road safety. He took part in the development of “strategies”, “concepts” and “targeted programs” for the development of the transport complex of the USSR and the Russian Federation since the mid-1970s. And to the present day.
In the field of scientific interests of A.V. Sarychev, in different years, not only problems of transport and roads, but also tax policy, industry financing, and nature management were found in different years. His consultations were used by heads of a number of federal departments, regions, cities, large corporations.
Throughout the forty -year -old scientific career, A.V. Sarychev was interested in the path of development of transport systems - peace, countries, cities. So, at the turn of 1980-1990. He predicted the development of Russia's motorization until 2015. The forecast paradoxical at that time, justified (and continues to make excuses!) With amazing accuracy.
The stylist of behavior and scientific work, Alexander Viktorovich, resembled Russian engineers-transporters at the beginning of the 20th century. It was distinguished by unique erudition, a wide circle of scientific interests, accuracy and depth of judgments. At the same time, behind his every judgment - sometimes ironic and acutely critical - there was always concrete scientific knowledge and accurate engineering calculation. The short ironic notes of Alexander Viktorovich on the transport culture were at one time a hit of Runet, vividly discussed in numerous blogs and forums. His phone did not stop from countless calls from all conceivable electronic and print media.
Until the last hour of his life, A.V. Sarychev actively worked and made plans for the future.
We grieve in connection with the death of Alexander Viktorovich and express deep condolences to his relatives and friends.
Farewell will take place on November 26 at 11:00 at the address of Kholzunov Lane, house 7.
