This week there were several protests: in Moscow they rallied against Darwin’s evolutionary theory, in San Francisco nudists defended the right to wear what their mother gave birth to, and in Paris, members of the Ukrainian group Femen staged a performance for which they received cuffs from Catholics protesting against abortion. Over the weekend, at the Zenit-Dynamo match, someone threw a firecracker at the feet of Moscow team player Anton Shunin. Science fiction writer Boris Strugatsky died on Monday, and writer Viktor Pelevin celebrated his 50th birthday on Thursday. A truce was declared between Israel and Palestine on Wednesday. This week the book “Pussy Riot. What was that?” appeared on sale, the authors of which were Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, who in fact did not write any books.
