Unknown persons set fire to the building of the ICR department in the Kurgan region

The incident occurred on Thursday at 2:40 local time on Krasin Street, house 88, a source in the region’s law enforcement agencies told Interfax. Two unknown persons used stones to break a window on the second floor of the building of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kurgan Region and threw three Molotov cocktails inside.
Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire with an area of 2 square meters in 10 minutes. m. Office equipment was damaged by fire, no one was injured, although the criminals blocked the exit from the building.
“Before the arson, the attackers tied the handles of the front door with rope, blocking the police officer inside who was guarding the building at night,” said an Interfax source.
A criminal case was initiated under Article 30 and Article 167 (“Attempted intentional damage to property”) and Article 294 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Obstruction of justice”).
