Miting "For Russia without the Inquisition" Andrey VinokurovOn November 24, in Moscow, a rally “For Russia without the Inquisition” was held on the Yauz gate square. Its organizers and participants were the rainbow association, the anarcho-communist association "Autonomous Action", the Libertarian Party, the anarcho-phuminist, and other anticlerical movements. All of them advocate tolerance and the opportunity to freely express their opinion. However, the arrival of the scandalously known Orthodox activist Dmitry Enteo showed the limit of tolerance of the participants in the action to someone else's point of view.
The main agenda of the rally is a bill on insulting the religious feelings of believers, which is now under consideration in the State Duma. It involves the introduction of criminal liability up to imprisonment for insulting the religious feelings of representatives of different faiths. The host of the rally, the vice -chairman of the Rainbow Association, Pavel Samburov - at the beginning of the action said that the free expression of the views of LGBT activists could plow this law. According to the correspondent of Polit.ru, the action gathered about 50 people.
Participants in the action affected a rather extensive spectrum of topics. Religious education in schools, anti -Darwinist speeches of the St. Petersburg deputy Vitaly Milonov, etc. were mentioned.
Although not all speakers could be called opponents of Orthodoxy. For example, an activist of the Occupyisud movement, Ilya Morozov, known for his support for Pussy Riot, noted that he belongs to the group of anti-tryelrical Christians and although he does not share the beliefs of atheists, but “is ready to fight for their views and welcomes the idea of creating atheistic patrols.” In his opinion, the state should not interfere in the sphere of religious beliefs of citizens.
The representative of the Moscow Helsinsky group Valery Nikolsky at the rally actively talked about the oppression of representatives of various religious faiths. “The official should not put himself above religion and determine for believers where they are to build temples. In Moscow, for example, even under Luzhkov, a place was determined for the construction of temples of all religions - the Poklonnaya Mountain. But the Buddhists there cannot put their temple because of their beliefs, ”said Nikolsky. In a conversation with the Polit.ru correspondent, he expressed the opinion that the law on insulting the religious feelings of believers is a cover for the actions of officials from the Federal Property Management Agency, who select the Holy relics of the Monk Yevfimiya and the Euphrosynia Suzdal from representatives of the Russian Orthodox Autonomous Church.
However, most of the speakers were still not interested in the protection of the rights of believers. For example, the representative of the working international committee Elena Volkova said that you can’t spend money on the construction of churches when there are not enough schools.
The rally unexpectedly came to the scandalously known Orthodox shareholders Dmitry Pimenov and Dmitry Tsorionov (known by the pseudonym Enteo).
Of course, they did not support the positions of the organizers of the anti -lrical rally.Orthodox activists placed a few meters from the territory of the event, a certain art object “Trap for sinners”.
Their appearance caused some concern among the audience, but, despite the provocation with the art object, there were no serious conflicts. The organizers of the rally even decided to give the defendants the word - as representatives of opposite views. However, it turned out that participants in the event are not inclined to listen to all other positions. Pimenov was simply not allowed to speak with shouts, and Enteo still managed to make his speech, although he was interrupted several times. However, he also could not be accused of excessive tolerance. After the parables about the jester of Emperor Justinian the apostate, the speaker noted that all those gathered can become Orthodox Christians, but at the same time recalled that "God is the main homophobic of the universe." At the end of his speech, he left almost immediately, and the rally soon ended.
