Photo: ITAR-TASSOn Saturday night, a prisoner riot took place in a colony in Kopeisk (Chelyabinsk region). 250 people demanded the release of their cellmates from the punishment cell and a relaxation of the detention regime. They also went on a hunger strike. The prisoners climbed onto a tower on the territory of the zone and hung a poster there that read “Help, people.” People began to gather near the walls of the colony, after which riot police arrived there. The police detained 30 people. Those who gathered near the walls of the colony complained of rough treatment by riot police officers.
