Film School named after McGaffin, together with the Polit.ru portal, continues the winter cycle of public lectures on Russian cinema and theater in an open lecture at Trubnaya with traditional Online broadcasts.

The famous film expert and cinema historian Evgeny Margolit will read the lecture "Theater and Cinema. Opponents or Partners" on November 27 . Start at 19.00.

Does the theatrical technique always contradict the aesthetics of cinema? Or can a demonstration on the screen expand the limits of its own cinematic expressiveness?

Evgeny Yakovlevich Margolit is one of the most respected film experts in Russia, candidate of art history, a teacher of the history of domestic cinema in the VKSR under the Goskino of the Russian Federation and a teacher of the course of an advanced moviegoer. Published in the magazines: “The Art of Cinema”, “Cinema Notes”, “Session” and others. The author of the books "Soviet cinema art. The main stages of the formation and development ”,“ The seized cinema. 1924–1953 ”(co -authored with V. Shmirov), for which the prize received a film press as the best film expert of the year (1995). Other awards: a prize of the guild of film science and film critics in Russia in the category “Theory and History of Cinema” (1998), a prize to the best film science of the year of the CF of the Gosfilm Fund of Russia “White Pillars” (1999).

An open lecture at Trubnaya Square is an educational site on the territory of the theater "School of Modern Play" for expert discussions, lectures, master classes, trainings and round tables according to the problems of modern theater and cinema. During the winter cycle, authoritative theatrical and filmmakers will read the lecture: directors, actors, critics, producers, scriptwriters and playwrights, teachers of GITIS and VGIK. This will be a professional conversation about the acute problems of modern cinema and theater scene, directions and their development, about the past, present and future.
