Lawyers were already able to collect official complaints from the prisoners, in which they announced beatings and extortion. According to him, the representatives of the Ombudsman managed to communicate a total of four dozens of convicts, including those who are found in the SISO cells. He did not see the beaten among them, no one complained about torture. At the same time, Nemchenkov failed to visit the medical unit, where at least one convicted person is located, who, according to relatives, broke the window due to bullying over him and cut himself with a glass.
The day before, the relatives of the convicts handed over to the members of the PMC a list of their relatives, serving a sentence in IK-6. They want everyone from the list to personally write that he is alive and not beaten. The mother of one of the prisoners said that on Monday on Monday, several ambulances came to the colony. All relatives who came to the institution on Monday refute the presence of "authorities" in the colony that could organize a rebellion. According to them, the colony has a reputation as a "red" camp where, in principle, there are no so -called "looking".
On Monday, the prisoners of the Kopeysk colony stopped the protest, the press service of the regional headquarters of the FSIN said. The message emphasizes that special forces were not introduced into the colony. The prosecutor's office also denies the participation of special forces and refutes reports on the beating of convicts.
Meanwhile, on Sunday evening, reports were received about the beginning of the new "stripping" in the colony. Relatives of prisoners reported that special forces and riot police entered the roof of the institution, the assault on the zone began, screams were heard from the territory.
On Saturday, the protest of the prisoners of the colony began. They captured the tower in the industrial zone on which the poster "People, help". In addition, banners with reports of protest with the participation of 1,500 people against torture and extortion were hung from the roofs of the colony buildings. According to eyewitnesses, one person fell from the tower.
In the morning on Saturday, several hundred relatives of the prisoners gathered behind the barrier colony. They demanded to remove riot police and blocked the road, turning the police UAZ. The police harshly stopped the action, many of its participants were beaten. The authorities report 38 people about the detention.
On Sunday, the relatives of the prisoners, who continued to be on duty at the colony, reported that the convicts began to be taken out of the IR so that the commission from Moscow would not find those people who could testify.
In the summer of this year, human rights activists presented evidence of systematic torture and extortion in the Kopeysk colony. In June, one of the prisoners died after beating. The audit conducted by the regional prosecutor’s office did not reveal mass violations of the rights of prisoners, the authorities said in early October.
