The thriller about the destruction of Ben Laden is recognized as one of the favorites of Oscar

The military thriller Zero Dark Thirty Oscar Laureate Katherine Bigelou on the elimination of the main terrorist of the planet of Usama Ben Laden, not yet released, is already considered one of the main favorites of the Oscars, the Rossiy newspaper website reports.

Its original name comes from the term accepted in the American army, and means: "12:30 nights." Recall that Bigelou received six Oscars for the film "Boal Lord" about the war in Iraq.

Initially, a film was conceived about the unsuccessful operation of 2001 in the Tora-Brier Mountains and about an unthinkable protracted hunt for the leader of Al-Qaeda, reminiscent of a ghost race. But when Bigelou and its co -author journalist Mark Boel were already finishing work on the script, the long -awaited news of the destruction of Ben Laden came. The almost finished script flew into the basket, and I had to start from scratch. As a result, the film concentrated on the raid of the sixth unit of the Navy in the city of Abbottabad, where terrorist N1 was hiding, and the open finale was replaced by completely new conditions for the audience perception: the final result of the raid is now known to everyone, but this, according to the first spectators of the picture, only enhances the stress.

Katherine Bigelou does not hide that her picture is again "not for the faint of heart." In order to take revenge on those who died in a terrorist attack on September 11, 2001 and rid the world of the threat that hung over civilization, the military had to go to extreme measures. Therefore, the authors of the new picture were not seduced by traditional for Hollywood by romantizing the act of historical retaliation. They use documentary evidence of real participants in this large -scale operation and do not turn off the camera from its unsightly inside out, with the necessary provocations, even torture.

Zero Dark Thirty will first be shown to the US audience at a limited box office from December 19, and will be released in wide distribution in mid -January. In Russia, the film will be released in February under the name "Zero Visibility 30".
