The volcano flat tolbik erupting in Kamchatka is awarded the highest "red" color code warning about the danger to aviation. This was reported by the Kamchatka response group to volcanic eruptions (Kvert) of the Kamchatka Institute of Volcanology and Seismology of the Fear for the RAS.

Experts warn that at any time the giant can begin to throw ash to a height up to 10 km above sea level, ITAR-TASS reports.

Gas and volcanic dust trains can be dangerous for flights both in local and international airlines in the Kamchatka area.

The giant was activated on the evening of November 27, after the 36-year dormant period, which lasted since December 1976.

According to the Kamchatka branch of the Russian geophysical service, increased seismic activity is fixed on the volcano. It is so high that, according to eyewitnesses, a swell on the water in the rivers is observed in the vicinity of the volcano.

Cracks formed on the southern slope of the volcano, from which fresh lava breaks out. The giant periodically throws out ashes to a height of 3 km above sea level.

In the vicinity of the village of Mayskoye and in the settlement of Krasny Yar, the fall of ash was noted. The rumble from the eruption of the volcano spreads by tens of kilometers. It is heard in the villages Klyuchi, Kozyrevsk, May, located about 50-60 km from its foot.

Experts conduct close monitoring of the volcano. A group of experts today plans to wrap his slopes by helicopter to assess the situation.
