According to the American Renesys network security company , starting from 12:26 local time (14:26 in Moscow), all 84 nodes of Syria IP addresses in the global routing table were unavailable-the country's complete shutdown from the Internet occurred.
The Syrian authorities accused terrorists of turning off the Internet:
"This is not true that the Internet turned off the state. The Internet lines have become an object of attack of terrorists, who managed to cut them in some regions," said Syria's Information Minister.
Over the past weeks, the government’s government forces have suffered several tactical defeats-they lost their air bases and other strategic facilities.
