The bankruptcy trustee of Zor, Anton Bazin, put Korona Altaya up for auction in the Interregional Electronic Trading System ( METS ) for 209.9 million rubles.

After two failed auctions due to a lack of applications (although, according to Bazin, "several people looked at the hotel") - September 14 and November 26 - the bidding is being held by public offering, the price will decrease until a buyer is found. According to the schedule published on the METS website, by December 26 it may fall to 90.2 million rubles. In the first three days of the bidding, from November 26 to 28, the price of "Korona" has already fallen by 15% to 178.2 million rubles.

The Korona Altaya sanatorium with a total area of 5,230 sq. m. is designed for 39 rooms and 48 vacationers. It is located on two islands on the Katun River, on the border of the Altai Territory and the Altai Republic. The land area is 2.4 hectares. The cost of accommodation in the hotel is from 5,100 rubles per room and 11,000-18,000 rubles per apartment per day.

The hotel was opened in September 2008. Its investor and former owner Genrikh Eganyan (until 2012, he owned the Zhemchuzhina Katuni tourist center, the Katunskie Zori sanatorium, and the Korona Katuni travel agency) did not name the cost of Korona's construction. According to Sergei Sidorenko, an adviser to the managing partner of DSO Consulting, the investment, taking into account the construction of an expensive bridge and a supporting sewer across the Katun, could have amounted to about 500 million rubles. According to the materials of the Arbitration Court of the Novosibirsk Region, in 2005-2008, Sberbank opened several credit lines for the construction of the hotel. Their maximum size is not specified. The bank was given a luxury hotel as collateral for Zori. Its collateral value was 791.3 million rubles, according to the court materials.

By March 2011, Zori owed the bank 356.5 million rubles, and the total accounts payable amounted to 420 million rubles. In August of the same year, the arbitration court, following a claim by Sberbank, introduced bankruptcy proceedings in the company. Korona Altaya was put up for sale for 233 million rubles.

Sberbank expects to receive 95% of the proceeds from the sale of the property, the press service of Sberbank's Siberian Bank told Vedomosti.

According to Sidorenko, selling the hotel is problematic due to difficulties with its occupancy. "At one time, the price of apartments here reached 25,000 rubles per day. But Altai is not the Cote d'Azur. The main tourist flow is economy class tourists," the expert says. He estimates the annual revenue of the hotel at 100 million rubles. "This is the real price of the Korona Altai," Sidorenko is sure. He did not rule out the possibility of a private person buying the hotel for a cottage.
