In Tver, an emergency regime was introduced due to heavy snow falling into the city. According to the city information department, the city administration has adopted a resolution involving the creation of an operational headquarters to liquidate emergencies. The head of the headquarters was appointed the first deputy head of the Tver administration Sergey Chubenko.

The regional governor Andrei Shevelev urged all the inhabitants of the city to go out to clean snow. "I would like to turn to the residents of the city and the region, the heads of organizations, managing companies, HOAs, ZhSK: I urge everyone to go out to the streets in order to put in order pedestrian passages and courtyards. They only work together in an emergency," the governor said. According to him, to eliminate the consequences of emergencies - task No. 1.

Snow blocks caused the traffic police blocked the entrance to the city due to strong congestion on the highway. According to the source in the power structures of the region, "the entrance to the city in the west from Moscow is blocked. A large number of cars have accumulated there. They are practically not moving. The entrance may be open after the road situation improves."

The head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia in the Tver region went with the inspection to the place of the congestion.
