Many are perplexed about the position of a number of members of the Opposition Coordination Council, members of the so-called. "Group of citizens", the informal leaders of which are Sergei Parkhomenko and Ksenia Sobchak.
Finding themselves as part of the opposition Constitutional Court, members of Gr.Gr. took a position in relation to the Kremlin, the “constructivism” of which not only the “constructive oppositionist” Prokhorov, but also the systemic Zyuganov and Mironov could envy.
And angry tirades about “Trojan horses” and “leaking the protest” began to flow from the protest movement.
What actually surprises you, dear oppositionists? And what did you expect?
Gr.Gr. consists of fairly wealthy representatives, as they say, of the creative intelligentsia, almost all of whom are representatives of one of the national minorities. It is in the social status and ethnic origin of the group members that the roots of their deep distrust of both the left and Russian nationalists lie hidden.
Members of Gr.Gr. - people are not stupid. And they have no special illusions about the victory of liberal forces in fair elections in Russia. Both the results of the elections to the State Duma and the recent failure of RPR-Parnas in the elections in the Saratov region or Barnaul clearly demonstrate that even in crystal-clear elections the liberals are unlikely to get more than 10-15% of the votes in total.
Judging by the prevailing mood in society, a coalition of political forces using left-wing and patriotic slogans will come to power.
And here the members of Gr.Gr. and it gets scary...
The coming to power in Russia of leftist forces threatens with “expropriation of illegally acquired property” (which will be unconditionally supported, it should be noted, by broad sections of the population) and, accordingly, the departure from Russia of wealthy people, whose needs and whims are served by the members of the Gr.Gr., in general That's how they earn a living.
The coming to power of nationalists in the country (as well as participation in the coalition government) seems completely to the members of Gr.Gr. a catastrophe, the logical consequence of which may well be accelerated repatriation to their historical homeland in a race with those on the Forbes list.
So, dear readers, do not be offended by the “Group of Citizens”...
They really sincerely would like to replace Putin with the same Kasyanov, Kudrin or Prokhorov...
But at the thought that Russia will be led by forces led by Sergei Udaltsov, Alexander Belov or Vladimir Thor, they become very, very scared...
And this fear whispers to them: “It’s better than Putin...”
