The Kremlin is discussing the creation of a new fund specializing in elections, which could be headed by Viktor Kidyaev, Deputy Secretary of the General Council of the United Russia party, the Kommersant newspaper writes .

According to the newspaper's sources, the new fund will conduct practical work in elections at various levels along with the Foundation for the Development of Civil Society Konstantin Kostin . Another foundation, ISEPI (Institute of Socio-Economic and Political Research), under the leadership of Dmitry Badovsky, is mainly engaged in the theory of political science, as well as the activities of the All-Russian Popular Front.

As one of the sources in the party told Kommersant, the Kremlin considers Viktor Kidyaev “an effective organizer of campaigns.”

The presidential administration says that the possibility of creating a fund is “being discussed.”

“This is close to the truth. Kidyaev showed himself in practice. He's coping fine. As an example, we can cite regional elections in the Tambov, Ryazan regions, in the Moscow region (presidential elections),” the official said.

According to Kidyaev himself, he is currently working on the re-election campaign for the secretaries of regional branches of United Russia and has not even thought about another area of work.
