The NEW Times publishes the official response of the European Court of Human Rights to the complaint of Leonid Razvoszhaev
Razvoszhaev was kidnapped in Kyiv on October 18, 2012. On November 28, lawyer Anna Stavitskaya sent to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg (ECHR) his complaint. The official answer came in two days later. As Anna Stavitskaya explained from The New Times, it follows from the document that the court intends to consider the complaint according to the 40th rule of the Rules of the ECHR-“Urgent notice”. Thus, the court informs the respondent state, in this case, Ukraine and Russia, about the complaint filed and requires them about the circumstances presented in it. In addition, according to the 40th rule, the complaint can be considered in a shorter time than usual. According to Anna Stavitskaya, this rule is extremely rare in Strasbourg. Therefore, the circumstances of the case of Razvoszhaev were interested in the judges, the lawyer is convinced.
