The Google search engine on Wednesday launches in Russian a tool for the semantic search for Knowledge Graph (in the Russian version of the "Network Network"), which allows you to get information about the search object and related facts directly in the search results, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Russian representative office of the Internet giant.
The KnowLEDGE GRAPH tool, which received the name "network of knowledge" in Russia, allows the search engine to understand the meaning of the request.
Google English -speaking users in the USA Knowledge GrapH became available in May 2012. With the help of this tool, Google does not just identify keywords, but also understands the meaning of the search query and seeks information about it in the Google database, which contains information about various objects - for example, places, things, things, films, works of art and more.
Google collects information for its database from open sources - for example, the Wikipedia Internet encyclopedia. According to developers, when creating Knowledge Graph, several billion different attributes were used. They are necessary to organize the results of the search so that the data is grouped in the relevant categories.
For example, when requesting Lake Baikal, the user will see not only links to resources about Lake Baikal, but also a brief certificate of this lake, attractions related to him, weather forecast and other things.
The "Knowledge network" will be located to the right of the list of links to the web page and will offer users a new search format that delivers contextual and dependent information about people and things that they seek. The service, thus, will make a search more like a conversation with a person.
On Wednesday, this tool will appear in some users, and after a few days all Russian Google users will be able to use it.
As noted in the company, the new tool will be available to users not only the Google web version, but also of mobile devices - tablets and smartphones.
Also on Wednesday, Knowledge Graph is launched in six more languages - German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese.
