Agricultural producers in the Ivanovo region produced 10 billion rubles worth of gross output in January-September 2012, said the head of the regional department of agriculture and food, Dmitry Dmitriev, at a press conference on Wednesday at the Interfax press center in Ivanovo.
“The physical volume index of gross agricultural production was 101.9%, 116 farms (64% of the total) worked with a profit. In general, by the end of the year they expect to receive 89.5 million rubles in net profit,” said D. Dmitriev.
According to him, harvesting work was carried out on 74 thousand hectares: grains and legumes were harvested from 71.4 thousand hectares, potatoes - from 2.1 thousand hectares, vegetables - from 0.26 thousand hectares, flax - from 0 .88 thousand hectares, rapeseed - from 0.44 thousand hectares.
D. Dmitriev added that 124 thousand tons of grain were harvested in the region - 20% more than in 2011; 32.2 thousand tons of potatoes (95% compared to last year), 4.8 thousand tons of open ground vegetables (65%).
“Procurement organizations sold 35 thousand tons of grain, including 25.5 thousand tons of food grain, as well as 5.1 thousand tons of potatoes, 2 thousand tons of vegetables,” noted the head of the department.
He added that today the region is self-sufficient in wheat by 15% and rye by 25%.
The yield from the harvested area was: grains - 17.4 c/ha, potatoes - 153 c/ha (112% compared to 2011), open ground vegetables - 185 c/ha (103%).
For the 2013 harvest, 18.1 thousand hectares of winter grain crops were sown.
D. Dmitriev reported that over 10 months, gross milk production amounted to 140 thousand tons. In agricultural enterprises, its volumes increased by 4% and amounted to 98.7 thousand tons.
"Calculating on the cow of the dairy herd, 3935 kg of milk was received, which is 411 kg more than the corresponding level in 2011. The average productivity of cows at the end of the year is expected to be 4600 kg of milk (an increase of 11%). Daily gross milk production in the region's farms is more than 260 tons,” said the head of the department.
According to him, the region's breeding enterprises sold 1,221 heads of breeding young cattle, 941 heads of sheep and 55 heads of breeding foals.
“The increase in sales of breeding young farm animals was 24.5% compared to 2011,” added D. Dmitriev.
The head of the department noted that investment projects worth more than 2 billion rubles are being implemented in the region’s agro-industrial complex.
In 2012, the volume of investment loans on terms of subsidized interest rates amounted to 107 million rubles, the volume of short-term loans - 307.5 million rubles, for small forms of farming in rural areas - 42.3 million rubles.
D. Dmitriev noted that the industrial production index for 10 months was 94.6%, the volume of shipped products was 11.3 billion rubles (108.5% compared to the corresponding period in 2011).
“The share of food products produced in the structure of the volume of shipped manufacturing products was 17.2% - this is the second place after textile and clothing production among industries producing products for the final consumer,” he concluded.
