• The First Deputy Head of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Russian Federation Eduard Petrukhin announced the failure of the penitentiary reform. He made this statement in Chelyabinsk at a meeting of the working group during the discussion of the IK-6 events in the city of Kopeisk, where the riot of the convicts broke out on November 24.

• Civil activist Gennady Stroganov was detained in pure ponds after holding an action dedicated to the anniversary of the December protests. In the police department, Stroganov declared a hunger strike.

• The prosecutor's office of St. Petersburg conducts inspections in the State Hermitage in connection with the complaints of visitors to the exhibition of the Capen Brothers “The End of Fun”. The director of the museum Mikhail Piotrovsky told reporters that people are unhappy that, in their opinion, the Christian cross was desecrated. The exhibition presents an installation on which the McDonald clown and a plush bear are pinned to the cross. Piotrovsky has already written a letter to the prosecutor general of Russia, in which he asks to take measures, "so that the museum and the prosecutor’s office do not interfere with working."

• An interview with the “Solidarity” activist Vsevolod Chagaev appeared on the Rain TV channel, who left Russia after the FSB invited him to cooperate and “knock” on the opposition. According to Chagaev, an FSB officer called him nicknamed Lesha “Smile”, invited him to meet, and during the meeting he threatened that if the activist did not agree to his conditions, he would be either in prison or in the army.
