The head of the Ministry of Emergencies Vladimir Puchkov gave the Saber to the Minister of Defense Sergey Shoigu, who asked for “not to drink the office” and called for “not to force him to get this checker,” RIA Novosti reports.
The meeting of Shoigu and Puchkov took place as part of the Russian Emergencies Ministry festival “Constellation of Courage”, which awarded the best rescuers, as well as volunteers, children who showed heroism, and journalists. The festival is held on the day of the heroes of Russia.
At the end of the ceremony, Puchkov gave Shoiga a saber with the inscription "Founder of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia and Salvation Service Sergei Shoigu." The hall met Shoiga standing. Shoigu himself, who from the Ministry of Emergency Situations transferred to the post of governor of the Moscow region, and then to the military department, admitted that he was bored without his native ministry.
Recall that Shoigu was the Minister of Civil Defense, Emergencies and the Elimination of the Consequences of Natural Disasters from 1994 to 2012.
