The first passengers of the Ukrainian airline Aerosvit, who arrived at Sheremetyevo International Airport several hours after the carrier's service was stopped, took off to their destination. The airport and Aeroflot provided active assistance in their dispatch. Meanwhile, Aerosvit began to pay off its debts.

At Sheremetyevo International Airport (SIA), a working group has been created to deal with the departure, information, catering and accommodation of passengers of the Ukrainian airline Aerosvit, which ceased its activities on the Russian aviation market at 0:00 Moscow time due to its debt to the airport. To interact with passengers of the Ukrainian airline, a special area has been allocated in terminal E, as noted in the SIA press release. The airport is currently awaiting the arrival of more than 200 Aerosvit passengers for departure. As of 11:30 Moscow time, 17 Aerosvit airline passengers (flight VV 452 Moscow-Kyiv) arrived at the airport, and were eventually transported to their destination by Aeroflot airline.

Aeroflot also confirmed that, to the extent possible, it will provide service to Aerosvit passengers on its own flights. SIA emphasized that on December 11, 2012, the airport is ready to resort to using its own funds to ensure the departure of all passengers. Starting from December 12 and on subsequent days, Aerosvit airline passengers who have not returned their tickets to the airline will have to independently resolve all issues that arise by contacting the carrier directly. Aerosvit airline is responsible for all possible consequences for passengers.

Meanwhile, Rosaviation announced the lifting of restrictions on the use of Russian airspace by Aerosvit, since the carrier repaid the debt to the Federal State Unitary Enterprise and transferred the necessary $246 thousand to its accounts. At the same time, Aerosvit informed Interfax that on Tuesday morning it had made three payments to Sheremetyevo prepared the day before. But MASH explained to Kommersant that they have not yet seen the transferred funds, so for now the previously described financial situation of Aerosvit remains unchanged. Currently, the situation in the airport terminals is stable; there are no accumulations of Aerosvit airline passengers.

At the Boryspil airport, Kommersant was told that since the Federal Air Transport Agency has lifted the ban on crossing Russian airspace, flights to Vnukovo, Pulkovo and Koltsovo “can take place.” Confirmation of flights to SIA has not yet been received. All passengers flying to Moscow were notified, and some of them changed their tickets to flights with other airlines.
