New quality of education
Dear editors !
Caring for the quality of education in the country is the first and most important concern of our authorities. I am convinced of this every day and multifaceted and recently convinced once again. At the end of November, government prizes in the field of education were awarded, many worthy people who made a serious contribution to the development of higher and secondary education received them.
I am especially pleased that the number of pillars, so to speak, included such giants of thoughts and titans of science as Mikhail Valentinovich Kovalchuk and Viktor Antonovich Sadovnichy. As part of an authoritative author’s team, they received a high award for the work “Creation of an innovative scientific and educational system of interdisciplinary training in the field of convergent na-, bio-, information and cognitive technologies”.
It is remarkable that the new paradigm of interdisciplinary nano -formation does not just exist in the form of beautiful schemes and presentations, but, so to speak, powerfully intertwined into the very canvas of life. And the laureates are a visible example of educational and scientific figures of a new type.
For example, my native university, under the leadership of our beloved rector Viktor Antonovich Sadovnichy in recent decades, increased its interdisciplinary in every way, covering the field of knowledge from old mathematics and physics to new nanotechnology and globalistics in every way. And also growing branches - from Central Asia to Switzerland. Another example of an innovative approach to scientific and educational leadership is Mikhail Valentinovich Kovalchuk. He, so to speak, represents the image of a distributed and remote mentor and leader, managing the work of two major scientific institutions-the Kurchatov Institute and the Crystallography Institute-as well as as a dean in two large universities-MIPT and St. Petersburg State University. Not to mention the head of the departments and magazines.
Another, less outstanding, the figure would suffocate under such a burden of various duties, but our shoot was ripened everywhere, clearly demonstrating the truth that the interdisciplinary arranged convergent mind can cope with many flows of tasks.
An integral quality of real education is a product of his own kind, when the titan of thought not only flies in a bright comet on the scientific and educational sky, but also gives rise to a galaxy of worthy students and extractors along the way. And we can see it too!
Such, for example, is one of the favorites of Viktor Antonovich, a many -year student leader, and now the director of our famous Kolmogorovo boarding school, Andriyanov is an example of interdisciplinary. Having received education as a chemist - a representative of the natural sciences, he subsequently removed the area of his scientific interests to the humanitarian region, protecting the dissertation in the category of historical sciences. And along the way, he demonstrated such impressive successes in the field of socio-political activity that he was honored to sit at the same table with Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, coordinating the activities of the All-Russian Popular Front. And, I must say directly, all this stupid story around its dissertation is an example of an indirect approach to business in the framework of the old paradigm, completely incorrect in the world of convergent cognitiveness, cloud knowledge and distributed skills.
Of course, these are all - my personal positive impressions, but there are objective statistics that confirm the attention of the authorities to education. These are data on the average salary of university teachers in October, published by the Ministry of Education and Science. They visually show that in many universities the level of payment of our work exceeds the typical for the region, in some cases, striving even for the treasured 200%. This is not such a bad month of October!
Some, however, say that the average salaries do not completely reflect the situation, but this is a boltology. Yes, I personally get less than average in Moscow State University, but this is because I do not work well enough and I am a low qualification teacher, as our beloved minister explained. But I know that there are people who work much better than me, and I know what floor of the main building they live.
