Annotation: Gödel theorem along with the discovery of the theory of relativity, quantum mechanics and DNA is usually considered as the largest scientific achievement of the twentieth century. Why? What is its essence? What is its meaning? We will try to answer these questions. In particular, several different formulations will be given, three approaches to its proof (Kolmogorov, Chaieitin and Gödel) will be described, and its significance will be explained for mathematics, physics, computer science and philosophy.
