Pavel Durov: Sergei Lazarev’s songs are blocked on VKontakte due to “lack of cultural value”

The songs of the famous pop singer Sergei Lazarev were removed from the social network Vkontakte. This was confirmed in his Twitter by the creator of the social network Pavel Durov.

As Lenta.Ru notes , at first the audio recordings were visible, but they could not be turned on. Instead, a window appeared saying that the audio recording was removed at the request of the copyright holders, in others - "due to lack of cultural value" or "due to poor quality of performance." When using the English version of the site, the inscription "crap warning" ("warning: shit") appeared.

On his Twitter, Durov wrote that after the removal of the songs, "the cultural value of VKontakte audio recordings has increased dramatically."

“This is definitely a boost @ the administration of Vkontakte. but I don't give a fuck!!! the main thing is “delete,” the singer wrote on his Twitter today in response.

Lazarev's songs were removed after he tweeted on December 6 that he was going to sue the social network for pirating his work. On December 12, Lazarev wrote that all users who illegally posted copies of his songs on the social network received reports of copyright infringement. The letters contained a demand to remove the songs.
