The Moscow Arbitration Court registered the lawsuit of ZAO ZAO ZAO Transstroy (part of Oleg Deripaska’s construction holding) to the Olympstroy state corporation to recover 1.491 billion rubles, RAPSI said.
According to Dmitry Oleinik, Director General of PSK "Transstroy", the requirements relate to the construction project "Engineering Protection of the Imeretinsky Lowland of Sochi". The plaintiff, who is a general contractor, requires compensating for his expenses for the implementation of the project.
The controversial situation arose due to the errors and inaccuracies made in the initial design solution that were eliminated during construction.
The Transstroy engineering corporation in 2009 won the tender for the execution of the Olympstroy lot on the engineering protection of the Imereta Valley, reducing the initial maximum cost of the project by 38%, which amounted to more than 2.5 billion rubles.
The winner was to carry out coastal, design and survey work until January 2012. In the Imeret Lowland, the central stadium should be built on the project, where the opening of the 2014 Winter Olympic Games, a large and small ice arenas, and the ice palace will take place.
