
The State Duma Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building recommended introducing a direct ban on the activities of political NPOs financed from the United States in Russia, as well as the activities of non -profit organizations whose activities "poses a threat to the interests of Russia", RIA Novosti reports. The Committee supported the corresponding amendment to the so -called "Law of Dima Yakovlev", which was the response to the "Act of Magnitsky" adopted in the United States. In general, the bill is planned to be considered in the second reading on Wednesday, and in the third on Friday.
Earlier, the same committee approved the amendment introducing the ban on the adoption of Russian children by US citizens. In case of adoption, it may begin to operate since January 2013.

It was assumed that the unicorn would be appropriate to the bill, which the State Duma will accept in response to the "Law of Magnitsky". A ban on the activities of intermediary firms in the field of adoption is also introduced. The action of the bill signed by the State Duma speaker Sergei Naryshkin and the leaders of all four factions apply to US citizens who violated the rights of Russians, committed crimes against Russian citizens or are involved in their commission.
