For the killing of Magnitsky, Americans will be forced to adopt Russian orphans

Four years ago, Lola appeared in our family. Prior to this, she lived in a specialized house of a child for children with a delay in development and, after reaching 4 years of age, would have to move to a boarding school for mentally retarded children. She was not mentally backward, it just turned out that the child does not hear well (unfinished otitis media) and did not see well (for some reason, no one checked her vision). Having received new glasses and getting into the home environment, she very quickly turned into a cheerful, cheerful child.

According to my observations, about half of the children from that house of the child were completely normal and in a loving family they would quickly have caught up with a delay in development. The educators and nannies in that house of the baby were beautiful, but, as it often happens, they simply lacked them on all children. They themselves understood this and did everything so that their children liked potential parents: they dressed up before meeting in beautiful dresses (such dresses were transferred from the child to the child when future adoptive parents came to their acquaintance), tied huge bows to three rare hairs of girls, and when the child began to cry or turn his nose from future mothers, immediately stroked with stories, what a great child, it was really a great child, Just now, something is swinging.

At the same time, several families went to dates with future children then - all, except one, were foreigners. It is they, as the employees of the child’s home told me, mainly take "such" children. I saw these future adoptive parents, since we often sat everyone with our unborn child in the same assembly hall. I saw their eyes, their attitude to children, saw how the staff rejoices, noticing warming in the eyes of the children, their first smiles addressed to future parents.

Russian adoptive parents can choose children: that is, see one, abandon it and ask to show the other. Foreigners do not have such an opportunity - they take those whom they are given. And these are, as a rule, children who have already "hung" in the bases of Russian adoptive parents and have not interested anyone. Often these are children with various pathologies, diseases or injuries.

The nannies and educators showed me photos of already adopted children in new families, and many of these children-the fat and prayers-smiled at the lens against the background of some American town. They looked quite satisfied and happy.

And about ten years ago, at the request of friends in our apartment, a family of Americans with four boys stopped for two weeks: the older weather was 8-10 years old, the youngest-4-5. The older children were strikingly different: they were polite and educated, spoke good English, the younger ones were closed and unsociable, ate their hands and almost did not speak. The tenants said that they had just taken two younger children from the orphanage in some Russian region-which, now I don’t remember. "That is, you now have two of your own and two foster ones?" - we asked. “No,” the Americans answered, “the elders are also foster and also from Russia, we just took them 5 years ago.” The Americans brought the eldest sons to Moscow, not only for them to immediately get acquainted with the new brothers, but also to show them the Kremlin and the Novodevichy Monastery: “I want them to see what a beautiful country in which they were born,” the proud dad said.

When I hear about the initiative of the so -called "people's chosen ones" to ban the Americans to adopt Russian children, I think about how lucky those four boys and those babies from a specialized child of the child, that they found their foreign parents before they tortured Magnitsky in the Russian prison. And how unlucky hundreds or thousands of children were born, who were born not only in a wrong family, but also in the wrong time. What, perhaps, at that very moment when in the Duma they talk about this legislative initiative, some child looks with hope in the eyes of an American couple, presenting his future in a new family.

No one expected that the answer to Magnitsky’s act would be adequate, reasonable and serious, because the only adequate reasonable and serious answer is to punish their killers and corrupt officials for crimes against a Russian citizen. But to punish instead of the already disadvantaged small Russian citizens, depriving them of hope for normal childhood and family is not just stupidity. This is cynical atrocities.

It is noteworthy that women were the initiators of this cynical athrine in relation to children: deputies Ekaterina Lakhova and Elena Afanasyeva. You can and should be required to replenish the "list of Magnitsky" with these surnames. Unfortunately, this will not help Russian orphanages.
