President Iraq struck a stroke

79-year-old Iraqi President Jalyal Khusamaddin Talabani suffered from a stroke, reports AP . Doctors are trying to stabilize his condition.

Recall that Talabani was hospitalized on Monday evening.

The sixth President of Iraq Talabani came to power in April 2005, replacing Saddam Hussein. Earlier, he made a political career in organizations of Kurdish separatists. Among the Kurds, Talabani is known as “Mom Jalal” - “Uncle Jalal”.

In 2008, he underwent a heart surgery that American surgeons in the United States performed. Until recently, Talabani regularly visited Europe and the United States for a medical examination.
