Dear Constitutional Court, doesn’t want to organize a rally against the adoption of the “Dima Yakovlev Act”?

Stop these either hardened cynics or unfit fools?

Publish figures for similar cases in Russia, compare, tell how many disabled children are adopted by foreigners (mostly Americans)?

Organizing “Freedom Marches” in a still free country is cool, yes. Is it more difficult to block an idiotic act?

Maybe I’m wrong, of course, and preparations for the authorized rally are already in full swing, applications have been submitted, posters are being made, people are being invited to participate... So far I have only found a small community on FB (not related to the CS -http://www .facebook.com/events/571520939541700 ). And also outbursts of emotions - these are morons, they are ruining their own children, and nothing can be done except to “like” the post of indignation.

The more you read about the “Dima Yakovlev Act” and all these adoption problems, the worse it gets. I just want to close my eyes: no, this simply cannot happen...

And when you start to understand the statistics, the numbers for Russia are terrible, of course, they have plenty of their own freak parents. And the fact that adoptive parents are not punished in the USA is a bluff. And they received 18 years, and 25, and 10.

And the only thing that seems to somehow explain this response initiative of ours is, indeed, the lobby that has arisen again; allegedly, those who need more Russian children to be adopted by Spaniards (and Italians), whose share in the ranks of adoptive parents has grown sharply in recent years, came to the rescue in time.

Otherwise, how could all these deputies, having data on similar crimes in Russian families, knowing that many disabled children are adopted by Americans (and not only disabled people), take such initiatives?

Or do our deputies-statisticians do not know any statistics and do not want to understand anything?

And if we are to play this card, then the minimum logic must somehow manifest itself: why punish essentially potential benefactors - future parents? Punish American officials, guardians, people suspected of abusing Russian children (or already convicted).

In short, there is a problem with the logic. Just the usual swagger. Or cynicism. We need to do something about this already.

And some statistics:

1) “The vast majority of children adopted by foreign citizens in 2011 were placed in the care of US citizens.” Americans took in more disabled children than all other adoptive parents in other countries http://www.usynovite.ru/statistics/2011/7/ .

2) In 2009, 105 Russian citizens were brought to criminal liability for crimes against foster children, of which 24 were for committing crimes that resulted in the death or harm to the health of adopted children.

3) The number of children returned from Russian families back to orphanages is growing : 6136 children in 2007, 7834 children in 2008, 8474 children in 2009.

4) “In April 2010, US citizen Torrie Ann Hansen returned 8-year-old Artem Savelyev back to Russia six months after her adoption. Pavel Astakhov attracted the attention of many media to this incident, despite the fact that every year thousands of children return to orphanages from Russian foster families."

5) “Since 1991, out of the total number of children adopted by foreign citizens, five children have died, and another 16 have become victims of accidents,” in Russia during the same period, 1220 (?) children adopted by Russian citizens have died." Director of the Department of the Ministry of Education and science Alina Levitskaya noted that “unfortunately, in society there is no reaction to these statistics that happens when some sad incident happens to our child abroad. Something happens to one child and look what is happening in the media, how famous politicians behave. There are sad statistics here - thousands, and at the same time, to say that our deputies and politicians, other famous people would behave the same way and pay attention the same way, unfortunately, this is not the case."

6) Among children adopted by Russians, only 0.3% of children (26 out of 9048) turned out to be disabled . These are data for 2008. In the same year, Americans adopted almost 4 times more Russian disabled children (97).
