According to the Levada Center, in 2011, 22% of the population wanted to leave Russia for permanent residence. According to my personal observations, if the question was put differently - “Would you like your children to study and work in the USA or Europe?” - the percentage would be much higher.

The realization of this dream for the majority of citizens of the Russian Federation is hindered by a lack of funds or the lack of the necessary skills, such as a demanded specialty and knowledge of foreign languages. At the same time, our political elite is not limited in funds and has the opportunity to both buy real estate abroad and send their offspring there for training.

Thanks to the London High Court, we “suddenly find out” that former Russian officials have large real estate. Their "patriotism" somehow ends instantly at the moment of loss of power. Then we read about the presence of a “small, 200 meters” apartment in France with the former Minister of Agriculture Elena Skrynnik. We see how the ex-mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov, a fighter for the Russian city of Sevastopol and the rights of Russians in the Baltic states, is trying to get a residence permit in Latvia.

We are happy for our compatriots who are buying up beautiful villas in Spain, Italy, France and palaces in London. As you know, the cost of goods exported from Russia is one and a half times higher than the cost of goods imported into Russia. A smaller part of the difference is the stabilization fund and foreign exchange reserves, and a large part, presumably, is those same villas, yachts and Chelsea clubs. It is not clear whether the players purchased for Zenit and Anji are taken into account in the trade balance.

They passed a law prohibiting the entry into the United States of a number of Russian officials (mainly employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Federal Tax Service and the Federal Penitentiary Service), as well as ordering the seizure of their property and blocking bank accounts in the United States.

According to congressmen, these people are involved in the death in the pre-trial detention center of lawyer Magnitsky, who was investigating a major embezzlement from the Russian budget. Some of the individuals on the list allegedly own large properties in Dubai, while others allegedly spend millions of dollars (with modest salaries).

As any Russian patriot understands, this is such an obvious slander that it is not even worth conducting any investigations.

As for the death of Magnitsky, “people are dying in prisons too,” and in Guantanamo they are also being tortured (there is still no single patriotic position on torture in Russian prisons - either there is no torture in our prisons and cannot be, or they are, but "so they need to"). One person responsible for the death of Magnitsky has now appeared before the just Russian Themis - the deputy head of the Butyrka pre-trial detention center Dmitry Kratov. All other members of the “Magnitsky list” have (as it were) nothing to do with it.

Now let's try to reason like real patriots who believe in the official version of what is happening. Well, there was a lawyer for some fund, he helped the fund evade taxes, they put him in a pre-trial detention center, where he died. It's a pity. But instead of this simple and understandable reaction, we observe some unimaginable hysteria. Which can only be explained by one thing - all these licensed and professional "patriots" were somehow hurt by the "Magnitsky act". Namely, the chances for a calm and serene future, along with the exported, stolen and looted. Far from such a "beloved" and so dangerous Motherland.

I think that the reaction of Russian landowners to an attempt by France or England to ban entry into their country to those who flog serfs would have been about the same. The most delightful thing, of course, is the attempt to involve the "serfs" themselves in the indignation. After all, "Magnitsky's act is a humiliation for every Russian."

For 20 years, 60,000 Russian orphans have been adopted by the Americans. 19 of them died, including through the fault of foster parents. Some of these cases received extensive coverage in the Russian media.

What kind of hell is going on with children in Russia can be seen from the selection of Interfax discussed in blogs, for example. But here the logic - "this is a tragedy, but it happens to everyone" - does not work. When adopting an “anti-magnet” law, it is not studied in which families the children are better, in which it is worse, where the risk of being killed is higher, and where it is lower. We will not give the children to the Americans, that's all!

Some statistics: in Russia in 2011, 7,416 children were adopted by Russian families, 3,400 by foreign ones. Of these, a thousand were Americans, of which 89 were disabled.

The orphanage is a disgrace to Russia. It's a shame that parents abandon their children. It's a shame that none of the relatives take abandoned children for themselves. It's a shame we don't have enough families willing to adopt (and also not enough help for those families).

But as long as this shame is with us, until we get rid of it, the ban on the adoption of children in the United States is depriving several thousand children of the chances of finding a family.

They will stay in orphanages and will continue to shout through the fence to every woman passing by: “Mom, mom, take me away!”.

There is a small list of nine disabled children awaiting adoption in the US. Of course, they will be very grateful to the deputies for the fact that they were not handed over to the Americans. I hope that every deputy who voted for the ban will come to these children and say something patriotic to them.
