Abnormally low air temperatures are expected for the second time in a month in the Omsk region, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the region reported on Friday.
According to the department, a storm warning has been announced for the period from December 22 to 26, when the average daily air temperature in the region will be 10 degrees or lower below the climate norm.
According to the Ob-Irtysh Department for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, the current air temperature in Omsk is minus 25.8 degrees. Blizzards and gusty winds are expected over the next two days. On Saturday, weather forecasters predict a drop in temperature to minus 37 at night, to minus 26 during the day.
It was previously reported that abnormally cold weather with air temperatures dropping to minus 40 degrees set in the Omsk region on December 7 and lasted for more than 10 days.
