Paper radicalism

It is very funny sometimes to see how publicists, fed by corrupt authorities, resort to the arguments of radical philosophy. This one, for example, talks about the severed hands of Vietnamese children and other tarasbulba. Perhaps he, too, once read Žižek. The place where Zizek acts as an apologist for radical revolutionary violence and also cites this case as an example. Yes, the Vietnamese rebels cut off the hands of all the children who were vaccinated by the Americans. And Zizek says that such a reaction is understandable: after the brutal extermination of Vietnamese men and women, like rats, like cockroaches, such “caring for children” seems somewhat hypocritical. The only thing that spoils the perfect parallel is that we are not at war with the United States. And in fact, they never fought openly. Such a reaction might have seemed appropriate on the part of the Chechen fighters,given the barbaric methods of warfare there by Russian troops.

In addition to the ideal example of Colonel Kurtz, the respected author refers to the cheerful Roman customs. Even if we ignore the fact that Christianity has somewhat devalued the Roman virtues, he turned to them in vain. Because the list of Roman virtues, first of all, did not include the murder of “cheating” children, but complete contempt for life in comparison with the good of Rome. And yes, if the Roman emperor ordered, the noble Roman killed himself. Myself. Without anyone's help, with the blade that the visiting legionnaires handed him. Will the respected author kill himself if Putin orders so? I kind of doubt it. In fact, no one would kill themselves for him. Only for money or because they were called up.

Radicalism is still the scarcest resource in this country. And in the camp to which the respected author belongs, there is none at all. Not even an ounce.

Since then, this war has been remembered at official holidays, although the hypocrisy is already noticeable to everyone.

Power feeds on the crude practical schemes of radical philosophy. But radical philosophy is not a presidential press conference. Here you will have to answer for what is said, otherwise the philosophical concept loses its power, meaning and adequacy.
