RBC: The new military uniform will be as economical as possible

The Ministry of Defense presents a new version of military uniforms for the Russian army. According to RBC, with minor changes, it will be adopted in the near future. The main change applies to the life of the form. Previously, it could be used for a year, after which the soldier took it with him. Now, at the end of the service, the unit will have to be returned, after which it is washed and transmitted to the next. The creators say that it will be possible to use uniforms for 3-5 years.

Soldiers and officers will be issued the same sets of 19 items. The epaulets will return to the shape, but the stars on them will not be metal, but plastic or sewn. Theoretically, the belt is included in the kit, but in everyday life it will not be used and will be replaced with Velcro.

The issue with insulation has not yet been resolved. The authors of the project used foreign materials that are not produced in Russia. The soldiers will have fleece jackets, in addition, they will be given moisture -free jackets and windbreakers, and if necessary, insulated vests can be worn under them. The authors of the project promise that they will not get jackets. In addition, at the suggestion of the Minister of Defense Sergey Shoig, the hoods cannot be unfastened from the jackets so as not to lose them.

As for hats, it is proposed to leave a cap, takes a winter hat. The pilot is not provided with a new project. Also, each soldier will be provided with balaclavs - masks on the face.

On December 5, Vedomosti reported that the form for Russian troops will be sewn from materials produced only in Russia. Such a proposal is contained in the amendments to the second reading of the bill "On the State Boronzaka" proposed by a group of deputies led by the chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy Igor Rudensky and a member of the committee Elena Panina. According to amendments, only a Russian legal entity with production and human resources in Russia can be the head executor of the state defense order.

On December 3, the official representative of the BTK Group OJSC, which is the developer of the new military uniform, said that the new set has not yet been approved by the Minister of Defense. Earlier there were reports that Sergey Shoigu approved a new set of summer field uniforms last week, which turned out to be almost an exact copy of the American Army Combat Uniform, an army combat uniform worn by US Army soldiers.

“Nothing has changed, the form has not yet been approved. The Ministry of Defense was displayed, according to its results, comments and modifications were made that will be taken into account in the near future,” the company representative said. According to him, in the new field form it was decided to apply the best world developments that proved their practicality, therefore, when creating a new form, various approaches and samples from different countries were studied.

He noted that considerable attention was paid to the form of the American army, since it is currently the only one that regularly conducts fighting in various climatic conditions. "However, it is wrong to talk about copying: the principle of multi -layer, the proposed BTK groups has successfully established itself in the production of sports and professional clothing, in our opinion it is the most rational solution in various climatic zones," the representative of the BTK Group explained.
