Legendary weapons designer Mikhail Kalashnikov was hospitalized, but he is fine, his assistant Nikolai Shklyaev told the Interfax news agency on Tuesday.
“(Kalashnikov’s) son said that he was in intensive care,” Shklyaev said.
According to Shklyaev, who refers to the designer’s son, this is not due to problems with Mikhail Kalashnikov’s heart, but to swelling of the limbs.
“I contacted the driver (Kalashnikov - editor’s note), he says: everything is fine with us,” Shklyaev said.
According to him, Mikhail Kalashnikov was admitted to the hospital last Thursday.
