The Iranian deputy surprised the Foreign Ministry, telling about the bribery of the Russians who did not want to wear a hijab at the nuclear power plant

Russian workers of the Iranian NPP "Busher" do not want to wear hijab, although they receive a premium from local authorities for this, a deputy from the province of Busher Mehdi Musavinejad announced. The Iranian Foreign Ministry hastened to refute this information.

The Iranian deputy in an interview with the ISNA news agency expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the NPP administration does not sufficiently monitor the compliance with the Russians of the dress code, and called on employees from the Russian Federation to dress in accordance with local traditions, RIA Novosti reports.

"Under the terms of the contract signed with Russian employees to the (nuclear) Busher power plant, they receive payment for wearing hijab. Unfortunately, they do not fully comply with what is indicated in the contracts," the parliamentarian said.

“When one party agrees to pay, the other must fulfill its obligations,” Musavinejad emphasizes. At the same time, he did not specify how many Russians are working at the Bushersky NPP and what allowance they put for a hijab, the agency notes.

Iran Foreign Ministry hastened to refute this data. “According to the ministry of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the ground and according to local authorities, the information about the payment of money (for hijab) to Russian employees of the Busher NPP is completely unsure of reality,” RIA Novosti quoted the statement of the deputy head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Hassan Gasgavi.

“This (wearing hijab) is not indicated either in the contract signed by the Russian authorities and the Iranian atomic energy organization or in agreements with the local authorities,” the diplomat says, noting at the same time that when the Russian women from the Bushery NPPs are worn in accordance with applicable standards.

Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin called hijabs an alien element for traditional Islam in Russia. And he opposed attempts to impose on the followers of Islam the obligatory wearing of hijabs, including in schools.
