A little about the history of the photo exhibition. In February-April 2012, the photo exhibition "The Meling Beauty of Altai" successfully started at the State Darwin Museum, Moscow. In April-May 2012, the Altai photo exhibition was presented in the club-the Start Gallery, Kyiv, Ukraine. The exhibition was held as part of the International Environmental Promotion "Put the points over" I "in the change in the climate with a whole series of parallel environmental events. In August-September 2012, the photo exhibition "Melting Beauty of Altai" opened in the St. Petersburg House of Nationalities. And then on September 28, 2012 at the State Polar Academy, St. Petersburg, at the end of the photo exhibition, a round table was dedicated to the problems of the development of specially protected natural territories in Russia.
The main goal of the photo exhibition is to recall the personal responsibility of each person for the preservation of the beautiful and fragile world of nature, to introduce the distant and often not all available corners of the most beautiful place in Russia - the mountain altai.
At the opening of a photo exhibition in Barnaul with a welcoming speech, the head of the Altai 21st Century Foundation, a member of the Public Chamber of the Altai Territory, Mikhail Shishin, who thanked the authors of photographs for the work done and revealed the topic of the need for such projects for a common cause - preserving the nature of Altai; The representative of the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Altai Territory Ilya Dudin also spoke, who thanked the authors of the exhibition for his contribution to the common cause of maintaining nature and noted that only by joint efforts it is possible to achieve a good result.
Oleg Ostanin, the head of the department of physical geography and geoinformation systems of Altai State University spoke about the problem of climate change in Altai highlands, about glaciers and research that is being conducted. And also one of the authors of the photo exhibition - photographer Valery Stepanyuk, who thanked everyone for the presence and talked about new plans for the future, namely: about organizing a new photo exhibition on Altai and conducting a series of thematic expeditions in the summer of 2013.
Further, the Ecological Club "Black Stork" summed up the past summer by showing the video "Dance. The Meling Beauty of Altai", which was shot in the highlands of Altai at the foot of the highest peak of Siberia - Belukha Mountain.
In the end - a surprise. All work was solemnly transferred as a gift to the Altai State University for a permanent exposition.
The photo exhibition was organized by the Altai Regional Public Youth Organization of the Black Stork Environmental Club, the Power Shift International Youth Climate Movement, the club of friends of the Bittsevsky Park, the reserves and other organizations.
