Two large metropolitan shopping centers belonging to ex-heads of Bank of Moscow were arrested

The Tver court of the capital, at the request of investigators of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, arrested the Nautilus and Vesna shopping centers, whose beneficiaries are the former top managers of the Bank of Moscow Andrei Borodin and Dmitry Akulinin, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Andrei Pilipchuk said on Saturday .

"During the investigation of the theft of the Bank of Moscow, investigators of the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs found that Nautilus and Vesna shopping centers belong to non-resident companies whose beneficiaries are ex-president of the bank Andrei Borodin and his former deputy Dmitry Akulinin," said Pilipchuk.

According to him, the decision on the arrest of Nautilus (Nikolskaya, 25) was made at the end of December, and in the "spring" (New Arbat, 19) - back in November of this year.

At the end of 2010, the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs opened a case against the former president of the Bank of Moscow Andrei Borodin and his deputy Dmitry Akulinin. They were accused of fraud with funds from the city budget for 12.76 billion rubles through the credit of Prime Minister Estit CJSC, which was issued by the Bank of Moscow.

According to the investigation, unidentified persons from among the employees of the Bank of Moscow, together with employees of CJSC Premier Estit, in order to seize budget funds, made fraud by obtaining a loan of about 13 million rubles; Subsequently, the funds received on this loan were transferred to Elena Baturina, the head of Inteko, the head of the “Inteko”.

In May 2011, by the Decree of the Tver District Court of the capital, Borodin and Akulinin, a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen in absentia. They were put on an international wanted list.
